No update on the Leo situation, I have emailed the rescue group here in Austin hoping they can help – for those looking for that post, scroll down. I feel like such a loser failure for not making it work with Leo, but I don’t know what else we could have done. I’m just not equipped for his needs. Trying to not feel guilty.
Well, everyone is back at school today. Jamie’s fever broke overnight Tuesday night. We kept them home on Wednesday to follow the 24 hour rule, plus they still said they felt kind of off. I expect them to come home today pretty tired and cranky.
We don’t know if it was “the” flu or not. I mean, how are you supposed to tell? They had coughs, runny noses, head and body aches and Jamie spiked high fevers. Jamie is “amazing fever boy” though because the kid spikes fevers quickly and scares the bejezzus out of us. Cassie has a low grade temp. I had a headache and felt a little off for a day and a half and am still coughing. Heck, could be allergies, could the flu, who knows.
Tom says he thinks it was the flu because that’s what is going around the school. I spoke to the school yesterday and she said 10-15% of the kids are out right now with this h1n1 flu. I dunno. If that was it, then it wasn’t a big deal. Of course, we’ll never know I guess. *shrug* At least it won’t affect Jamie’s birthday party on Saturday.
I’m just glad everyone is well again, but apparently the little girl next door is sick now. I feel bad, I hope we didn’t give it to her, but really, if that much of the school is out with it, she could have gotten it from anywhere.
I, on the other hand, am completely snowed in with work and should be doing that instead of blogging, but hey… everyone deserves a 10 minute break, right?
