Someone asked me how Tom and I stay married and pretty happy. I think our ability to laugh (and his weird sense of humor) help, to be honest. We never take anything too seriously…
So, I was working on something earlier today and was trying to figure out what I wanted to say, so I was talking/thinking outloud. I said something like, “I have these people in Texas getting together, and I’m going to have…”
I’m thinking like reunion, cooperative, group, club, bunch, crowd…
Not Tom, who without missing a beat says, “A Chili Cook-Off!!”
The weird part? Yeah, he’s probably right. Get a group of Texas folks together and someone’s gonna make chili. It doesn’t matter if it’s 50 degrees outside or 110, someone’s gonna do it.
Heh, what would you do without me, eh? I volunteer to judge!
