I now have a 1st grader and a 3rd grader. Wow, just wow… they are both super excited about Summer this year. My niece is coming to visit for almost 5 weeks (she’s 10 and will make her appearance on the blog soon I’m sure!) and we are headed off for 2 weeks at the coast. All of us badly need it and, best of all, this year we are going with friends. I hope we all have a great time, they are really laid back like we are and the house is plenty big enough for everyone to go to their own little corner *laugh*

Yay, school's out! That means mom gets to sleep in just a little later (I do anyway) and no worrying about watching the clock to make sure you're there at the bus stop/school pick up!
Unfortunately this also means I am responsible for the 8-year-old's entertainment for the next 3 months.
But, I'm doing a happy dance because mine will also be in 3rd grade next year…which means I don't have to "be visible" to the bus driver before they will let her off the bus.
