Oh, how I detest potty training…

I hate potty training. I want to send my children away for a couple of weeks and for someone to return them to me in underwear, having no accidents, and happy. Yeah, right! I won’t go into Jamie’s potty training nightmare (he was just shy of 4)… Cassie potty trained twice for an entire week. She had VERY few accidents. Then she just stopped.

This picture is from September 04 (yes, she was like 18 months old, I thought were golden!)

Now, she’s in underwear again. She went 2 days without any real accidents. We sent her next door to play earlier today and she did fine. Came back dry. Tonight, she sits down to eat and pees all over the place. #@$#%#$% At least we have the new dining room (no cloth seats) and all tile floor.

Please, someone come get my child and fix her. I say that, but since I did most of Jamie’s potty training, Tom has taken on most of Cassie’s. She’ll go when you put her on the toilet, but you can’t ask her if she needs to go because she’ll say no over and over and over again. I’m tired of buying pull-ups already.

… and don’t give me advice. I’ve tried it all. I hate Dr. Phil, he can bite me. So can Dr. Spock and whoever else is out there. … and I don’t want to hear how your kid potty trained himself at 9 months old either. So, for now, it’s underwear during the day and a pull up at night. Whatever, dudes… she won’t graduate in Depends, I suppose…

Man, looking at that picture up there is kind of freaky! She has changed so much! Wow! Too bad we are in the same freaking place as we were back then.

In other news, Jamie finally wiped his own rear the other day… progress… slow, but still progress…
(talk about over-sharing… and hopefully he’ll read this one day when he’s 15 and be completely mortified that I just told the entire internet that he doesn’t like wiping his own butt – he says “it’s dirty”… ya think?)

Ooooh I am so glad to be done with Potty Training ;)

Two of mine still have trouble at night. It drives me crazy having to wash sheets every other day!!!

……….So have you tried just sticking her on the toilet every 30 minutes? *evil grin*

I’m right there with you, Candy. Delia wants to use the potty, Mack does use it but can’t get herself woken up at night, etc. etc. etc. I can’t even begin to think about training Delia right now b/c the baby is on the way. I’m considering a move to pull-ups with her, but I don’t think she’s actually very serious about it. Mack is just… Mack. The pediatrician tells me not to worry, so I don’t. As long as she’s not wearing a Dora the Explorer pull-up when she gets her diploma, I’m good.

*smacks forehead*

Why, no, MOAC, I’ve *NEVER* thought of that…

-Candy, going off to find that uzi… lol

I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble, but I simply can’t relate. MY little angels never had a moment’s trouble learning how to use the potty.

Uh huh.

Did I tell you about the time The Critter shat on the floor *next* to the toilet because the potty was too scary? Ugh.

It will eventually happen. My beautiful and smart 3 1/2 year old has been peeing on the potty for about a year, but refusing to poop on the potty. Finally, last week, she visited my friend the Potty Nazi (whose not yet 2 year old is almost completely potty trained) and my daughter was amazed that the “baby” was in underwear.

Except for a few accidents, we’ve been doing well. *knock on wood*

Good luck. I hate potty training, too.

Nope no problem’s here. #1 trained himself. oh what’s that you ask? How old was he? Well 3yrs 10months. Night-time? Well that took another 9 months and me scaring him for life with girl pull-ups to get past that. And now there are only nightime accidents once a month or so.

Potty training sucks!

Sending patient vibes your way.
