So, last night, Tom decided to make some fried apple pies. Well, actually, a few days ago he decided to make homemade apple pie (I LOVE apples, LOVE them, but I can’t eat them raw, it’s some weird allergy). Anyway, so he made the filling, but didn’t have time to figure out a crust. So he finds this recipe for apple fritters.
Let me say that Tom is a great cook, but he doesn’t have ANY common sense. I mean that, he is super book smart, but he has the common sense of a doorknob. I look up and he’s frying them in a wok full of oil – I look at it and just kinda shrug knowing he’s gonna make a mess. 2 minutes later, the smoke detector starts blaring (did I mention this was at 11pm when the kids were sleeping?). So, I grab the broom to fan the thing while he opens the windows. I tell him to please do it in a sauce pan… can you guess which are which?
They were REALLY GOOOOOD though (he’ll need to cook the apples a little more because I still had to chug a little liquid Benedryl so my throat wouldn’t close up *laugh*). The pastry was PERFECT – so light and just… YUM! I want cherry ones next time… yum!
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, we know… they aren’t healthy… whatever.

Those look so good!! Well, four of them do anyway.
Oh wow…good thing I’m not in the neighbourhood or I’d be heading for your house! =) Yum!
Yum….those would SO sabatoge me right now, good thing I’m no where near you!
FRied anything is good. I mean, he used VEGETABLE oil, right?
