Whew! This was a hard one. Tom and I had a great time making it together. I think we were both high on icing. MUCH harder than it looks… I give you, the My Little Pony birthday cake. This wasn’t originally what we planned, but once we started going we realized it wasn’t going to work how we first envisioned, but I think this looks really cute. It’s the Ponies and a little house for them (the house is actually an cookie Easter house – like a Gingerbread House). We didn’t use a lot of the stuff in there, but it worked out great! We had originally wanted to do a barn or something, but the house was much smaller than we planned. Anyway… we think it looks pretty fab… the kids haven’t seen it yet, obviously, it’s almost 2am! We’ll have to find a place to hide or we’ll wake up to the house missing some of it’s pretties

A close up of the house. You can’t see it, but there’s a dove behind the baby pony. Why, you ask? Because the kids wanted it on there. They picked out some of the decorations at the cake store – there is also stars on the back wall *laugh*
I decorated these – they are homemade and Cassie asked for “rainbow” icing… see, I’m pretty smart sometimes!
Tom’s cupcakes… I think I like his a little better, but don’t tell him that. The decoration on top is a play ring thing.

The frosting color on Tom’s looks a little more edible, but it also defintely looks like it was piped on by a man. Or me. Actually it looks better than if it was piped on by me so I should stop giving him a hard time.

The cake looks good. I see that you did not go with my idea of a flower at the bottom.. but I dont think there would have been enough room for it. I do have to agree with you that Tom;s cupcakes do look better.
